Do not cause one’s friend to stumble over anything

“You shall not put a stumbling block before the blind” Vayikra 19: 14

Meaning if someone is blind about something and he comes to ask your advice, we are not to provide advice that is incorrect.

This applies to everything whether of worldly matters or matters of the Torah.

It is forbidden to bring or help or cause someone to sin.

It is even forbidden to bring a non-Jew to transgress the rules of the Torah that he is to observe.

In a literal sense this applies not to leave objects in places where they may cause others to fall.

This applies everywhere and always for men and women.
