Do not steal any object or money.
“Do not steal” Vayikra, Kedoshim19:11
This applies to a coin of minimal value and above.
The same monetary compensation is required whether a person steals from a Jew, a minor or a non-Jew.
It is forbidden to steal anything at all according to the Torah and applies to even half the minimal amount.
It is forbidden to steal anything as a joke or with the intention to return it or with the intention of paying for it.
It is forbidden to buy stolen property
This applies in all places at all times for men and women.
