Do not to enquire of the dead
“There shall not be found amongst you…. a necromancer” Devarim 18: 10-11
This refers to a person who starves himself and goes to sleep in a cemetery so that a dead person should appear to him in a dream and make known to him what he has asked or does another act so that the body of the dead person would come and inform him. He should receive lashes.
This applies in all places at all times for men and women.
