- Prohibition

165

Do not practice augury.

“Do not practice augury” Vayikra 19:26

For example, this refers to those that say “my bread fell from my mouth “or “my cane fell from my hand “therefore I shall not go to a certain place today.

Or makes signs for himself –"if this thing happens to me I shall do the this- or- that."

If a person did some action through this augury, he would violate this prohibition.

This applies in all places at all times for men and women.

Do not practice augury.
