Dwell in a Sukkah (booths) for seven days of the festival

 

 “You shall dwell in Sukkot for seven days.” Veyikra 23:42

 

The entire seven days of Sukkots you should eat, drink and live in the Sukkah during the day and night.

Make the Sukkah his permanent dwelling and his home temporary. 

It’s forbidden to eat a meal outside the Sukkah.

On the first night to eat a minimum of an olive size of bread in the Sukkah.

Bread must be eaten in the sukkah; fruit can be eaten outside of the Sukkah.

According to the Sages a child that understands should be obligated in these laws.

 

This applies in all places at all times for males but not females.
